The Aurora crew on site in Italy this week are experiencing heatwave conditions as records show the world’s average temperature has reached a new high for a third time in a week*.
These rising temperatures across Europe and globally cannot be ignored.
We want to highlight the climate change stories we’re proud to tell, with partners like Extreme E.
A partnership working for the planet
Sardinia is increasingly suffering from wildfire breakouts, which are disastrous for habitat and biodiversity. These natural disasters have large knock-on impacts on many species, food production and ultimately food security.
That's why this year in Sardinia Extreme E is teaming up with the local NGO Medsi to replant trees and shrubs that are a rich nectar source for bees. This boost in food source will allow the bees to thrive in this new environment and give them that valuable ecosystem and food for the future.
To learn more about the impacts of climate change on Sardinia’s bee population and how Extreme E are working to reverse it, watch the full Legacy Project film here.
For Aurora, caring for the planet is intrinsic to all we do and we hope together with partners and the whole of the sports media industry we can make a difference.
