OVERVIEW
‘FIFA World Cup Daily by Hisense’ was a 31-episode series produced by Aurora for FIFA, sponsored by Hisense. Published daily throughout the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
FIFA and Hisense's goal was to create a show that was fun and entertaining, conveying the excitement of the World Cup, as well as its global nature. Not just another “football analysis” show, it needed to be flexible, authentic and fast paced, placing fans at the heart of the action. A companion to the official matches streamed on FIFA+ and Hisense’s VIDAA smart TV network around the world. Hisense wanted to create for the very first time a content experience where local fans around the world became part of FIFA’s official world cup programming, creating a unique platform for VIDAA advertising partners.
Presented from Doha every day of the tournament, the shows integrated fans, match highlights, archive moments, special guests and content created globally. The unique FIFA+ Creator Network was a key element – a platform showcasing up-and-coming young content creators – and by using ground-breaking production workflows our remote 32 “Superfans” gave a unique fan culture perspective from around the world.

Aurora promised us quality fan created content and they are delivering exactly that for the FIFA+ platform. The films created have given a real insight into global fan culture, and more broadly Aurora has established a powerful platform for the future, empowering a community of diverse young filmmakers.
OVERVIEW CONT.
The show had “Industry First” uses of hybrid cloud remote production ensured delivery of compelling fan-focused content in near real-time across the globe. Aurora provisioned an experienced team in Doha to produce the daily show, working in sync with edit teams in Aurora’s London HQ. Match highlights and archive content from FIFA’s cloud-based portals was combined with fan content captured on mobile sent in by the 32 remote countries via Greenfly, a cloud-based app platform. The result was a heady mixture of official match action, combined with the raw emotion of how the World Cup feels from a fan perspective, all delivered to the FIFA+ platform and Hisense channels within 2 hours of the last game finishing each day.
