OVERVIEW
Aurora produced a series of impactful original films telling stories of fan culture around the world for FIFA, leveraging the ground-breaking FIFA Creator Network
The FIFA Creator Network funds and showcases up-and-coming young filmmakers, telling stories of global football fan culture on the new streaming platform FIFA+ ... a hub of short original stories, filmed by fans, produced, directed and edited by Aurora, supported by FIFA.
FIFA approached Aurora for original content ideas for their new direct-to-consumer streaming platform FIFA+. It includes live matches from 100 member associations around the globe, the federation’s extensive content archive and a match centre including data, news, games, plus original content.

OVERVIEW CONT.
FIFA’s content objective for FIFA+ is to create credible and authentic formats that resonate with young fans, not simply replicate traditional football shows. Aurora’s response proposed to launch a grassroots football fan community, telling true stories around the world, including places and cultures that are often underrepresented or ignored by traditional media.
Aurora searched for and selected the best emerging filmmakers spanning the globe to tell each story – young men and women from the USA to Ukraine, Bolivia to India. The Creators are talented content producers and fan culture experts, comfortable in front of and behind the camera - but first and foremost they’re passionate football fans. Aurora provides community management and production experience to support them, ensuring quality content and delivery. The series has provided a ground-breaking platform for this diverse group to reach a worldwide audience, acting as storytellers for their football teams, communities and nations.

OVERVIEW CONT.
The platform launched in April with an initial series of 16 films from four continents. FIFA are not yet releasing audience engagement figures for the brand-new platform but the content and our young filmmakers have been promoted globally and across FIFA’s social reach of 50m+ people.
Aurora have further developed a 100+ global Creator community, including at least one for all the 32 teams involved in the Qatar World Cup. This community will create further content for FIFA before and during the World Cup, plus tell important stories of fan culture in the run up to other major football events in 2023 and beyond.

Aurora promised us quality fan created content and they are delivering exactly that for the FIFA+ platform. The films created have given a real insight into global fan culture, and more broadly Aurora has established a powerful platform for the future empowering a community of diverse young filmmakers. Aurora is efficient and progressive in how they operate and have shown great storytelling ability.
The Creator Network films are published on the FIFA+ streaming service and across FIFA distribution partners.
