OVERVIEW
BBC Studios approached Aurora to produce two digital commissions for the award-winning BBC Earth and BBC Earth Explore YouTube channels.
In Search of Nature and Framed in Nature feature nine incredible photographers from across the globe, each passionate about capturing the beauty of our planet’s wilderness.
A continuation of our pioneering Creator Network model, these series put storytelling in the hands of those who know their environments best.

In Search of Nature launched two, six-to-eight-minute episodes weekly on YouTube, and revealed the natural beauty of diverse landscapes and wildlife through the lenses of our talented photographers. From Brazil’s Atlantic Forest to the snowy tundra of Yellowstone National Park, and from the coastal islands of South Carolina to the extraordinary underwater worlds in a Kenyan Marine Park, each episode showcases the unique perspectives of local photographers and videographers.
The companion series, Framed in Nature, featuring six, six-to-eight-minute episodes, delves into the technical aspects of wildlife photography. This series takes the viewers through the camera equipment and settings used and demonstrates how to edit images for maximum effect.
Both series are designed to inspire everyone, from amateur smartphone users to experienced photographers, to explore their local areas and try their hand at wildlife photography.

Rather than flying in an external production crew, we empowered local photographers and videographers to document their world and the wildlife in it. The result is an extraordinarily vibrant, intimate, and diverse series.
