OVERVIEW
A series of beautiful short documentaries for Aurora’s long term partner The Royal Commission of AlUla.
Aurora was tasked to create a series of short-form documentaries showcasing the unique stories of AlUla and its people.
We created a seven-part series produced for YouTube, aligning with Royal Commissions For AlUla (RCU)’s key brand pillars: Hiking, Summer, Cycling, Food, Photography, Conservation and Wellness.
A small, skilled documentary team was employed, familiar with AlUla and experienced in working closely with key RCU staff.
The project spanned approximately three months of intensive shooting and editing.
Navigating the challenge of identifying and coordinating with key contributors for each documentary, ensuring their availability for filming.
Our team demonstrated high organisation and a deep understanding of the RCU’s vision, maintaining flexibility to adapt to last-minute changes.
RESULTS
7 x 3-5 minutes films, plus social media cut-downs for each film. Provided English and Arabic subtitles to maximise accessibility and reach.
This series highlighted the cultural and natural richness of AlUla but also significantly enhanced viewer engagement with the region's heritage and community stories.
