Stunning scenes were captured on both sides of the Pacific this weekend as Nitro Rallycross held its season finale in Los Angeles and Sail GP took to the water in Pegasus Bay, Christchurch, New Zealand.
The final Nitro RX weekend did not disappoint, full of big air jumps, mad overtakes, it was full-send from the get-go. Newly crowned Series Champion - Robin Larsson 🇸🇪 was honoured with the new ‘Ken Block Championship Trophy’. Ken Block, a founding NRX driver and motorsport legend, tragically passed away earlier this year. He embodied everything about this action-packed series, and this trophy is a fitting tribute to his memory.
We would also like to give a nod to the Baja Buggies and Van Prix races, as has become synonymous with Nitro events, these were a great spectacle and a lot of fun to watch.
Huge thanks go to Joe Carr, Brett Clarke, Chip Pankow, Jen Horsey and James McEvoy for an epic season and our wonderful presentation team of Katie Osborne, Andrew Coley, Jarod DeAnda and Street Bike Tommy.
Sail GP
Across the Pacific Ocean, SailGP saw one of the closest battles of the season, where Canada made history by securing its first ever event win. Home favourites New Zealand came away with the silver medal.
We’ll be ready to go again with SailGP in San Francisco for the Season 3 Grand Final on May 6th-7th where the Championship will be decided.
