The ICC commissioned Aurora to produce a documentary on the creation of 'The ICC Anthem' composed by the acclaimed Hollywood composer, Lorne Balfe.
This iconic piece serves as the new sonic identity of the ICC and World Cup events, embodying the essence of cricket through its Test, ODI and T20I formats. In this film, we sit down with Lorne to explore the anthem's development and the cricketing influences that inspired it. We also had the privilege of filming inside the iconic Abbey Road Studios, capturing the recording of the anthem with a 100-piece orchestra.
The documentary weaves together historic ICC cricket footage to craft a cinematic tribute to the sport, echoing the grandeur of the new theme.
Our thanks to Lorne Balfe for his invaluable contribution, as well as to Fragmented Music and COOL MUSIC LTD, especially Darrell Alexander and Ruth Titmarsh, for their support.
Also thanks to the Team from the ICC – Anurag Dahiya Sally Higgins Sahil Phillips, Ajesh Ramachandran
