Nine teams made a stunning return to the water for some fiercely competitive racing, with some big names from the worlds of entertainment and sport joining the floating paddock.

Team Brazil came in second, skilfully piloted by some familiar faces to the world of electric motorsports – Timmy Hansen and Catie Munnings.

Hollywood royalty Will Smith launched his Westbrook Racing team for their championship debut, with pilots Sara Price and Lucas Ordóñez taking the third-place podium position in their inaugural race. And big moves up the table also for Didier Drogba’s Team Drogba after a strong showing.

E1 is a pioneering new sporting series, designed to establish a new, competitive on-water racing proposition, fuelled entirely by electricity.
